Client and Server Network

In client Server Network architecture there is one dedicated computer which is called server. All computer. Called clients are connected to that dedicated server usually through a hub or switch Server is responsible to perform activities according to the request sent to it by clients
Clients are also called workstations For example server can act as print server if client request a print of document server will send print command to printer and it will be printed. Same way all the files are stored on the server and not on client computer, same client can retrieve data by using any other computer on the same network. Client network can be seen in fig.

In networking, the term topology is the way of connecting Computers or nodes on a network. There are many ways in which Computer are connected together in a computer network. Therefore network topology is defined as the physical layout of joining a number of computer in the form of a network.

Ring Topology
In ring network each nodes is connected to two adjacent nodes in the from a closed ring or loop. In ring topology, the last node connects to the first node to complete the node in this network, data is communicated in one direction from nodes to node around the entire ring when a computer in ring network sends message to Another computer on the network.
